On November 16, 2013, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk through its Subsidiary, PT Styrindo Mono Indonesia (SMI), planted 5000 Mangrove Trees in the coastal of Pabean Udik Village, Indramayu, West Java. This action of environmental care is conducted by the support from The Indonesian Biodiversity Foundation (KEHATI) which has experiences in mobilizing and managing resources to support various programs of Indonesia’s biodiversity and its equitable and sustainable utilization. VP Corporate Relations, Mr. Suhat Miyarso accompanied by General Manager of Safety, Health, and Environment, Mr. Rachman Tjiptoputro, and General Manager of SMI, Ronald Sihombing participated directly in the trees planting. High expectations, the planted mangrove trees could grow well in order to make coastal of Indramayu to become a Mangrove Center which is not only useful as eco-tourism but also be useful as a research site.
On 12 November 2013, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk with its project named "Reduce Near Prime Product for HF 10 TQ" was elected as the First Winner or the Gold Achievement for the Manufacturing category in Operational Excellence Conference (OPEXCON) 2013 organized by SSCX International. The award was received by Mr. Paramate Nisagornsen as Vice President of the Company. OPEXCON Award itself is a form of appreciation to the project team (Small Group Activity-SGA) in organizations that have contributed to the Company and its industry. 150 teams from various Regional companies participated in this event by proposing themes of various improvement projects.
On November 5, 2013, the management of PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (CAP) along with Compagnie Financière Michelin (Michelin) conduct a partnership inauguration of synthetic rubber plant (synthetic rubber) which is managed by PT Synthetic Rubber Indonesia (SRI). The inauguration of this partnership is a milestone of the joint venture agreement between PT Petrokimia Butadiene Indonesia (PBI, a subsidiary of CAP) with Michelin, which has been signed by both parties in June 2013. In this inauguration, the Michelin Team led by Mr. Jean-Dominique Senard, General Managing Partner and CEO of Michelin Group also took time to do a site survey for the SRI Plant. The plant construction that produces feedstock of environmentally friendly tires is planned to begin in early 2015, with completion and start-up targeted at the beginning of 2017. The collaboration between the two companies is expected to give positive contributions for Indonesian economic by reducing import of feedstock and to increase export of tires. The construction of SRI plant is a form of commitment by CAP and its Subsidiaries to increase the value chain of petrochemical products which are produced by the Company and to further support the realization of an integrated petrochemical industry in Indonesia.

On September 13, 2013, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (the Company/ CAP) signed cooperation contract of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) for the construction of production facility of the Company's Naphtha Cracker with Toyo Engineering Corporation. This contract was signed by Paramate Nisagornsen from CAP and Toyo represented by Tadashi Hori (President Director of IKPT), Hideki Shiinoki (Director of Toyo), and Takashi Kawahara (Sales Director of Toyo for Asia Pacific). Through the expansion of this facility, the Company's Naphtha Cracker production capacity will increase up to 43%, and followed by the increase in the production of Company's petrochemical products. The expansion is part of the Company's strategic plan to further strengthen its leading position to fulfill the growing demand of petrochemical products in Indonesia.

On Monday, June 17, 2013 was held the Joint Venture Agreement Signing Ceremony between PT Petrokimia Butadiene Indonesia (PBI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (CAP), and the Compagnie Financière Du Groupe Michelin (Michelin) which create a Joint-Venture company, to produce Synthetic Rubber. The signing ceremony was held in Wisma Barito Pacific, Jakarta, and was attended by representatives of both parties. The Agreement was signed by Luc Minguet (Senior Vice President/ Chief Procurement Officer) and Chan Hock Sen (Vice President, Legal & Tax Services, Asia Pacific) as the representatives of Michelin, while PT Petrokimia Butadiene Indonesia was represented by Erwin Ciputra (President Director of CAP & PBI), Paramate Nisagornsen (Vice President Director of CAP & PBI), and Suryandi (Director of PBI). The synthetic rubber plant will be the first in Indonesia and will produce feedstock for the industry of environmentally friendly tire in line with the trend of eco-friendly tire usage globally.
