President Commissioner & Independent Commissioner
Indonesian citizen. Born in 1950. Served as President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner since March 2015. He is a graduate of the Indonesian Airforce Academy in 1973, followed a course at the Fighter Weapon Instructor Course in Arizona, USA in 1983, Airforce Command and Staff Colleges in 1989. He obtained his Bachelor of Social and Political Science from Universitas Terbuka, Indonesia in 1990, and also followed the Australian Joint Services Staff Colleges in 1994, as well as the National Resillience Institute in 1999. Since 2015, he served as President Commissioner of PT Dwi Sura Prima, Minister for the Ministry Coordinator of the Political, Legal and Security of Republic of Indonesia from 2009 to 2014, Commissioner of PT Lestari Asri Jaya and Independent Commissioner of PT Adaro Energy from 2008 to 2009. Previously, he also served as Chief of Indonesian Defence from 2006 to 2008, Chief of Indonesian Airforce from 2005 to 2006, and from 2002 to 2004 served as Command of the Indonesian Airforce Operational.

Malaysian citizen. Born in 1948. Served as Vice President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner since January 2011. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Nottingham University, United Kingdom. A seasoned professional in the oil and gas and petrochemical industry, he previously served in various positions, including Vice President of Ventures and Development at Shell Chemicals for Asia Pacific and Middle East region from 2003 to 2006, Chairman of Shell Companies for North East Asia, Beijing, China from 2000 to 2003, Managing Director at Shell Nanhai Ltd., Beijing, China from 1997 to 2000 and President Director for Shell in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia from 1994 to 1997. Since October 2006, he was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in a number of public companies as well as other companies in Singapore, i.e. SMRT Corporation Ltd., City Spring Infrastructure Management Pte., Ltd., Keppel Corporation Ltd., Keppel Offshore and Marine, Citygas Pte., Ltd. (Chairman), Dialog Systems (Asia) Pte., Ltd. and Star Energy Group Holdings Pte., Ltd. He also serves as Board member of Transocean Ltd Swiss based Company.

He earned his Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Master of Business Administration majoring in Finance and Accounting from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He previously served as Head of Corporate Finance & Country Risk Manager in Citibank, N.A., Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia until 1994, Pan Asia Corporate Head in Citibank, N.A., Singapore until 1995, Chief Executive Officer of Citibank Bangkok, N.A., Thailand until 2001, General Manager & Group Head for Corporate & Investment Bank in Saudi American Bank until 2003. From 2004 to 2009, he served as President Director & Chief Executive Officer of PT Bank International Indonesia Tbk, Managing Director of Investments in Temasek Holdings Pte Ltd, Singapore, and President Director of PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk until 2015.

He was appointed as Commissioner of PT Chandra Asri from January 2006 until the Merger and currently, besides as a Commissioner of the Company, he also serves as President Director of PT Barito Pacific Tbk. He began his career in 1993 in Linkage Human Resources Management, USA and from 1995 to 1997 he was a Financial Analyst at Merrill Lynch, USA. He joined PT Barito Pacific Tbk in July 1997 and successively served as Director in 1998 and later on in June 2002, he was appointed as a Vice President Director in the same company. He is the son of Mr. Prajogo Pangestu, the majority Shareholder of PT Barito Pacific Tbk.

He earned his Bachelor of Commerce from the New South Wales University, Australia in 1980 and also a member of CPA Australia, Malaysian Institute of Accountants and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Previously, he served as Finance Director of PT Chandra Asri from January 2006 until the Merger and also served as financial advisor to PT Chandra Asri from November 2005. In the past, he served in various positions at Shell Companies in Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia and Australia, where he worked from 1980 to 2004. He has extensive experience in financial management, business planning, procurement, governance and internal control in the oil and gas industry.

He earned his Bachelor Degree of Chemical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University and Master Degree of Business Administration from Kasetsart University. Previously, he has served as the Managing Director of Mehr Petrochemical Company in Iran (2005-2009), Managing Director of SCG Plastics Co., Ltd. (2009-2015), and Managing Director of SCG Performance Chemicals Co., Ltd. (2015-2017). He was also appointed as Business Group Head of Basics/Formulations/Fabrications of SCG Chemicals Co., Ltd. (2015-2017). Currently, he serves as Vice President of Polyolefins and Vinyl Business of SCG Chemicals Co., Ltd ( since 2018).

He has an extensive experience in sustainability through several placements at Thai Oil Public Company Limited ranging from Acting Organization Development & Business Improvement Manager (2011-2012), Innovation and Sustainability Manager (2013), Acting Sustainability Development Manager (2013-2015, 2017), Vice President of Innovation and Sustainability (2014-2018), Acting Manager of Corporate Venture Capital (2018), and Vice President of New S-Curve Business Development (2019-2020). He currently serves as Vice President-Special Assignment at Thai Oil Public Company Limited.

He has extensive experience through several placements at ThaiOil including Acting Senior Executive Vice President - Petroleum & Petrochemical and Executive Vice President - Manufacturing (2017), Senior Executive Vice President - Petroleum & Petrochemical and Acting Executive Vice President – Manufacturing (2017-2018), Senior Executive Vice President - Petroleum & Petrochemical and Acting Executive Vice President - Operation Excellence (2018-2020), and Senior Executive Vice President - Petroleum & Petrochemical (2020). Currently, he also serves as Director at Thai Paraxylene Co., Ltd. (since 2015), Thaioil Energy Services Co., Ltd. (since 2017), Thai Lube Base Public Limited Company (since 2017), LABIX Co., Ltd. (since 2020), as well as serving as Chairman of Thaioil Energy Services Co., Ltd (since 2018) and Thai Lube Base Public Limited Company (since 2020).
