Community Development Program conducted by Chandra Asri intended to assist communities around the operating area to improve the quality of life that includes the fields of health, education, social assistance, and the development of physical and social infrastructure.

HEALTH

CAP routinely conducts health program named “AYO KE POSYANDU” over the last ten years. This program is one of the success stories of CSR in raising awareness of the mothers for routine medical check-up for themselves and their toddlers to Child Care Activity Center (Posyandu). “Ayo ke Posyandu” has managed to assist 19 Posyandu with 2,210 infants and/or toddlers. This program includes immunization and family planning services, distribution of milk for baby and supplementary foods.

Company has upgraded its level from Posyandu in Pratama level to Purnama level which means that society has been motivated to go to Posyandu in order to improve maternal and toddler health. In addition, CAP also invited the Posyandu cadres to attend health seminars as a form of education for public to be more aware to health conditions their toddlers.

To help improve the health and quality of life of communities around the operation area, CAP collaborates with the Obor Berkat Indonesia Foundation (OBI) provided general health check up and dental treatment, and free outpatient medicines to residents.

Besides to regularly conduct CSR activities in the field of education, such as training for teacher, CAP also give appreciation of student achievements by running a scholarship program for student at various levels of education, among others:

  • President Director Scholarship. Providing scholarship to 37 children of employees with outstanding academic in Senior High School and University level.
  • Scholarship for Institute Technology of Bandung (ITB). Providing scholarship to 10 outstanding students of Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Engineering Physics and Power Engineering.
  • Scholarships for Untirta. CAP and Untirta signed a MoU related to collaboration in educational aid, scientific research and community development. CAP also grants full tuition scholarships to 5 outstanding undergraduates in their senior year and 9 outstanding undergraduates in their freshman year by considering the economic conditions of the scholarship grantee.
  • Scholarships for D1 AMC//CMA Program. Providing scholarships to 8 Senior High School students who pass the selection for D1 program of Operator Chemical Industry AMC//CMA.

CAP in cooperation with the Yayasan Habitat for Humanity Indonesia to conduct home renovation in kampung Cisaram with coverage home renovations, development of sanitary facilities, roads reconstruction and empowering local communities to take advantage of existing opportunities.

CAP also regularly held fundraising from all employees in order to infuse sense of caring to those who are less fortunate and are stricken. Donations collected (money and materials) are distributed to orphanages, natural disaster posts, and selected social foundations residing in the area around CAP operations.

 

PHYSICAL AND SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT

In recent years, CAP focused on the development of regional infrastructure in order to encourage economic growth and improve the quality of life of the surrounding community. CAP in cooperation with the Yayasan Relawan Kampung Indonesia, a foundation engaged in social area, repaired a hanging bridge in Desa Sukajaya, Sajira District, Lebak, Banten Province. The bridge, which had been damaged and abandoned for three years now can be passed and used by the community for the smooth running of daily mobility.

As a contribution to infrastructure development in Cilegon, CAP also provide assistance to the Government of Cilegon on concreting the South Ring Road (JLS) of Cilegon along 2 KM. This concreting assistance is a follow-up act of the Government program in the repairing JLS which is a vital tool in the region economic development. This is one of the CAP’s commitments to support government programs. In addition, the CAP also participated in building the social infrastructure such as the construction of a healthy canteen at SMA 5 Cilegon
