PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk hosts The 21st Regional Olefin Producers Technical Committee (ROPTC), which held in Bali, 7-9 May 2018. Attended by a number of company that runs in petrochemical industry, among them are: Petronas (Malaysia), PCS (Singapore), JG Summit (Philippine), SCG Chemicals, PTT Global Chemicals dan IRPC (Thailand), this year conference will have the implementation of digital technology in the production process of Olefin, as its main agenda. This utmost felt important as way to adapt with the Industry era 4.0 and to anticipate global challenges. Discussion and exchange of knowledge is directed through three key themes, which are Reliability & Innovation, Operational Excellence and Health, Safety & Environment.
PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk pledge its full support for World CleanUp Day 2018, a massive clean-up civic action conducted by world citizens. CAP began its participation within the pre-event of WCD, the Leaders Academy, which held in 6-9 May 2018. Leaders Academy is a training and preparation platform to 68 leaders from 34 provinces in Indonesia for World CleanUp Day 2018. In this occasion, Mr. Edi Riva’i, General Manager Polymer Technical Service & Product Development CAP is trusted to be one of the inspirational speakers (expert) who shared knowledge and insights to WCD leaders about characteristics of various plastic materials. The main event of WCD 2018 planned to be held on 15 September 2018 in 150 countries, with one noble purpose; for cleaner world.
On 7 May 2018, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk received an award of Best Issuer for Basic Industry and Chemicals category at Business Indonesia Award (BIA) 2018. This award was given by the President Director of PT Jurnalindo Aksara Grafik, Ibu Lulu Terianto to Bapak Suryandi, CAP’s Director. Through this recognition, CAP is considered able to consolidate and survive in rapid changes, so as to record high performance growth. This is in line with the theme of BIA 2018 which is Excellent Growth.
Following is Final Announcement of UGM Scholarship Program 2018.
On 27 April 2018, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk, through its wholly owned subsidiary, PT Chandra Asri Perkasa (CAP2), has awarded six license and engineering design agreements to world-class licensors regarding technology for its second petrochemical complex to be built in Indonesia. CAP2 appointed CB&I’s Lummus Technology for Naphtha Cracker and Butadiene plant; GTC Technology for aromatics (benzene, toluene and xylenes) recovery plant; Texplore for High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plant; and Lyondellbasell, for Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) and Polypropylene (PP) plants. The award of these technology licenses is a significant milestone reinforcing CAP’s plan to expand its petrochemical footprint. CAP is confident that the selected technologies will ensure robust productivity and efficiency for the new complex
CAP2 was established in April 2017 to undertake Feasibility Study of a second petrochemical complex which is estimated to have total investment around US$ 4-5 billion. The second complex is expected to comprise 1.1 MMTA Ethylene, 600 KTA Propylene, 175 KTA Butadiene, 363 KTA Benzene, 450 KTA HDPE, 300 KTA LDPE and 450 KTA PP for full year of operations. Once this second complex is fully operational, CAP will be able to better serve Indonesia’s domestic demand and ease import burden while also contributing to Indonesia’s economic growth.
On 30 April 2018, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk hand in hand with Foundation of Indonesian District Volunteer (YKRI) and the Regent of Serang, Hj. Ratu Tatu Chasanah, S.E., M.Ak inaugurated the Iron-Fence Bridge in Kadu Meringis, Serang District. The bridge that took 4 months of construction process, connect civilians from Umbul Tanjung Village to Bantar Wangi Village. This plays important role to the daily commute of the civilians as it eases access to education and health. Previously in 18 January 2018, 40 CAP’s employees voluntarily take part in the bridge construction process with civilians and YKRI.
